Metcalf Golf partners with the Toyota Series of Golf
The Toyota Series of Golf and Metcalf Golf are pleased to announce a new partnership that expands the Toyota Series of Golf event schedule. The Toyota Series of Golf will continue to feature 10 amateur events and Metcalf Golf will add five to nine additional events organized and conducted by Metcalf Golf to the historical 2008 Toyota Series schedule.
New for this year will be a season long points system where flight winners and high point qualifiers will be invited to the Sterling Savings Bank Shootout for an 18 hole tournament at The Fairways on Sunday, September 21, 2008.
Metcalf Golf will be running five 9 hole events on Wednesdays and four 18 hole tournaments on Saturdays. All the winnings from the Metcalf Golf events will be paid in shop credit. The new format of the tournament series will have a season long points system with double points for the Toyota Series majors and single points for the Metcalf golf run events.
Toyota and Sterling Savings Bank are proud to promote amateur golf in the Inland Northwest and encourage you to get out and play often. Schedules are still being finalized so check back often for updated tournament dates, entry forms and point details.
The Toyota Series of Golf is a season-long series of Inland Northwest tournaments who make up "The Road to the Sterling Savings Bank Shootout." Players with USGA handicaps are encouraged to play in as many of these events as possible.
The goal is to have each of the participating tournaments qualify players for the season-ending Sterling Savings Bank Shootout
